Human rights go viral!

We could have chosen different letters alphabet.

We could have met among neighbours to reshape a world too small for us. We could have stayed among lawyers to discuss the meaning of words. We could have opted for “right of man” rather than “human rights”.

We could have organized a moot court every year and agreed to meet in ten years’ time. We could have allowed the Atlantic ocean and borders to separate us.

We could have declared ourselves too busy, too old or too blasé. We could have continued to plan masterclasses in a far away future and make a note of everything else in our notebooks.

We could have said no.

Instead, we decided to meet you.
